The Animal Hospital of Dauphin County has a large team of dedicated, caring and experienced veterinary staff that work together to ensure that you and your pet have a great experience at each and every one of your veterinary visits.

Dennis McMichael

is the practice manager of the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County. Dennis joined the AHDC vet staff as Reception Supervisor in August 2012. Prior to joining the AHDC team, Dennis managed non-profit and public animal shelters in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Delaware. A native of Mechanicsburg, Dennis, his wife Jackie, 2 sons Thomas and Derek, and 2 adopted dogs Abby (Yorkshire Terrier) and Reese (Havanese) live in Enola. In his spare time Dennis enjoys spending time with family and friends; going to sporting events – particularly local auto racing and Penn State football, fishing, and playing the cello.

Alissa Eby

joined the AHDC team in 2015. Never having been without a pet as a child, Alissa was quick to adopt from the York County SPCA when she moved out on her own. Now, she, her husband, and son all enjoy life with a wonderfully sweet dog. Alissa enjoys reading, gardening, spending time with her family, and the occasional Netflix binge!

Chandra Altomonte

joined the AHDC team in November 2012 after spending a decade as a receptionist with another local animal hospital. Born in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Chandra grew up in Oklahoma with 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Chandra enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, and canoeing. The mother of 2 children and 3 dogs, Chandra and her family reside in Perry County.

Stacy Baum

has been a receptionist with the Animal Hospital of Dauphin County since 1998. Stacy enjoys baking, cooking and spending time with her husband. Stacy also has three dogs (Marley, Kaya and Diesel) and a cat (Ellie).

Karen Kibler C.V.T.

has worked at the hospital since 1975. Born and raised in Hershey, Pa., Karen attended Harcum Junior College and enjoys gardening and reading. Karen and her husband, Frank, have a son, Mark, and three cats (Spite, Jack and Sophia).

Sandy Woodring

joined AHDC in 2011. She graduated in 2012 from Penn Foster with a Veterinary Assistant certification. She has always loved animals and enjoys working with them. Sandy and her boyfriend Larry have a cat named Carnie.

Sara Clugston

joined AHDC in 2015. Born and raised in Hummelstown, PA, she enjoys spending time with her family and working on puzzles. She has always had a love for animals and has one dog of her own named Sadie. Sara is currently attending Penn Foster to be a Veterinary Technician.

Jen Bucher

joined the AHDC team in Oct. 2015. Jen grew up on her father’s farm in Carlisle, PA and recently moved to Harrisburg with her husband, Mike along with her five dogs: Tedoe, Prissy, Eevie, Maui, and Dozer. In her spare time Jen and her husband enjoy taking their horses: Kruz and ChyAnnon trail rides all over the east coast, camping, hiking trips with their dogs, and spending time on her father’s farm.
